It’s not quite the same Michael.
Michael Owen, like a lot of people, predicted before the Premier League season kicked-off that Leicester City would be relegated, and Chelsea would retain the title.
Right then here we go again #Top6Bottom3:
Chelsea
Man Utd
Arsenal
Man City
Liverpool
SpursBournemouth
Leicester
WatfordLet's see yours!

Owen also tipped Bournemouth, Leicester and Watford to be relegated.
However, four months on, Chelsea are just above the relegation zone, and Leicester are top of the league. While neither Bournemouth or Watford are currently in the bottom three.
Quite a few people on Twitter took pleasure in reminding the BT pundit of his pre-season predictions.
@themichaelowen @GeorgeLoosely23 try again mate

How wrong could you be @themichaelowen https://t.co/NKcHNPzrmQ

However, Owen has hit back, taking aim his detractors.
Are my pre season predictions that far off what everyone else thought? Silly me, you all knew Leicester would be top and Chelsea 15th.

Now there’s nothing wrong with getting a prediction wrong, it happens to everyone, even football pundits.
But there’s just one issue with Owen’s defence: he’s paid to give his opinion on football, and is therefore expected to show a degree of expertise that goes beyond ‘what everyone else thought’.
