Hear, hear.
About time. Where have you been all our lives?
Memphis Depay will strike a blow for football purists everywhere when he takes a bold – but what shouldn’t really be bold – stance against his old club on Tuesday night.
Manchester United head for the Netherlands to take on PSV in their return to the Champions League but, despite having spent nine years all-in with the Eindhoven club, Memphis Depay is now a son of Old Trafford.
And he’s a son of football.
So, by God, he won’t stand by and let modern media and sensitive fans pressure him into faking his apology if he scores against his former team. You know, especially when he’s shooting with the objective of… scoring.
Will Memphis celebrate if he scores v PSV? "I have respect for PSV but I will celebrate. Football is a game and scoring is special." #mufc

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves though, Memphis, eh? You just concentrate on doing something right this time around.
It’s a refreshing statement at least. And it’s safe to say that the decision was met with completely one-sided unanimous backing…
@ManUtd ffs what a snake

Okay, there was genuinely some backing. Of course there was.
