He was slaughtered by Manchester United fans for his role in Chelsea’s equaliser on Sunday, and it appears Laous van Gaal reckons Memphis Depay could use a bit of a wake-up call as well.
The former PSV attacker was pilloried for giving the ball away as the clock ticked down at Stamford Bridge in the lead-up to Diego Costa’s leveller, and his reward for that brief but impactful substitute’s appearance is a run-out for the Red Devils’ Under-21 side against Norwich this evening.
