It’a decent top 50 to be fair
Manchester United fans have enjoyed a very good week with various new faces coming through the doors at Old Trafford, and now one of their more high profile signings has been given a big honour by France Football.
The magazine, which formerly used to be the main organiser or the Ballon d’Or, has selected it’s top fifty of the best young players in the world right now and the Holland winger is top of the list.
The former PSV man was rated as a better player than Raheem Sterling who came third, and PSG’s Marquinhos, who according to the boffins at the magazine is just behind Depay in the pecking order.
The top ten is made up of Kurt Zouma from Chelsea, Max Meyer of Schalke, Munir El Haddadi of Barcelona, Martin Odegaard of Real Madrid, Bernardo Silva of Monaco, Alen Halilović of Barcelona and Julian Brandt of Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool’s Emre Can is rated at No.12 on the list, while other notable inclusions are Saido Berahino at No. 13 and Ross Barkley at No.18 and Luke Shaw at 38.
Adnan Januzai is rated No. 41 while Jorfan Ibe sneaks in at No.46.
