Meet the Liverpool-loving Dubliner looking to knock Reds out of the FA Cup

Graham Carey will be one of the biggest Liverpool fans on the pitch on Wednesday night.

The Dubliner is a lifelong Reds supporter and will line-out against Jurgen Klopp's side for the second time in two weeks. Carey was part of the Plymouth Argyle team that frustrated the Reds at Anfield two Sundays ago in the FA Cup third-round, and it was a special occasion for the 27-year-old midfielder. Carey had something of a nomadic career before that. He joined Celtic from Dublin Schoolboy side Mountview in 2005, but made just one appearance in six years. He had loan moves to Bohemians, St Mirren and Huddersfield during that time. Carey moved to the south west of England following a two-year spell with Scottish club Ross County. "Yeah (I nearly joined in)," Carey said.

"I wish I had a scarf on! No, it was great. I mean I have come here as a fan and had chills on the back of my neck."

Plymouth had just 23 per cent possession at Anfield as Liverpool's young team failed to break down the away side's spirited and well-organised defence. Klopp has said he will stick with his young players for Wednesday's replay. Plymouth, who are currently second in League Two, could cause an upset against the team who have yet to win in 2017.
