Martin O’Neill is an old fashioned football manager.
Ask the man a straight question, and he will give you a straight answer.
Irish fans perplexed by Giovanni Trapattoni’s answers to some questions have welcomed the Derry native’s wit, as well as ability to cut through some of the unnecessary bull that comes with football these days, and give it to fans honestly when put under the spotlight.
So with that in mind Irish football fans, just four months out from the Euros, have been given a unique opportunity this Tuesday to quiz the Ireland football supremo on anything they want.
The former Aston Villa manager is appearing on TV3’s coverage of the Champions League clash between Arsenal and Barcelona on Tuesday night, and the station are running a live Q&A with the Ireland boss on the night via Twitter.
So if you would like to ask Martin anything about possible bolters for the Euro 2016 squad, or how he would set up a team to stop Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar, or even if he‘s more of a biscuit or cake man, then it’s very simple.
Just tweet your question with the hashtag #AskMartin and a selection of the best and most entertaining questions will be put to him over the course of the night while in studio.
Just like this.
Would you consider calling up Damien Delaney and Mark Bunn for the forthcoming friendlies ahead of Euro 2016? #AskMartin

If we get anything like the gold we got out of the questions posed to Ted Walsh during last year’s Galway Races, and his extreme distaste of red sauce, then we could be in for a ball thanks to the hashtag, #AskMartin
Coverage of the game begins at 7pm on TV3, and O’Neill will be joined by Brian Kerr and Graeme Souness for all the action from the Emirates.
