Martin Odegaard’s Real Madrid woes continue as Spanish newspaper refuse to rate him

AS claimed Real's B team were better off without him

It’s been a baptism of fire for the Norwegian prodigy

Things seem to be going from bad to worse for Martin Odegaard at Real Madrid. The 16-year-old Norwegian midfielder has had an unhappy start to his career in the Spanish capital, struggling to make an impression with the club’s second team, Castilla.

Boss Zinedine Zidane has been unimpressed with his performances and yesterday’s outing against Tudelano will have done little to change his mind.

After being left out of the side for two games, Odegaard was restored to the starting line-up, only to be substituted after 65 minutes with his side a goal down.

Castilla equalised soon after and newspaper AS refused to give Odegaard a rating for the performance, noting that he was whistled from the crowd and that ‘Castilla without Odegaard were better than Castilla with Odegaard’.
