Things turned sour before the Classique between PSG and Marseille at the weekend.
Eight Marseille supporters were arrested during several violent incidents before the match. This included someone throwing a golf ball at the PSG team bus and narrowly missing superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The bus was forced to stop for almost an hour before kick-off because of the violent scenes.
Eight officers sustained minor injuries when they charged at groups of OM fans blocking a roundabout near the stadium. The officers fired tear gas into the crowds in order to subdue the situation.
The golf ball was thrown at the bus, and smashed through a window as the team slowly made their way towards the stadium. Photos have since surface of the bus following the incident which appear to show that Zlatan was sitting very near to where the golf ball hit the glass.
