“If you type his name into YouTube, you’ll only see him tackling.”
Marouane Fellaini has hit back at Jamie Carragher, labelling the former Liverpool defender a “world champion leg breaker.”
Fellaini isn’t happy with Carragher’s criticism of him in a column last May, and has waited until now to respond.
After the United midfielder elbowed Leicester City’s Robert Huth during a game and received a three-game ban, Carragher wrote:
“My personal hope is that we would never see him playing in the Premier League again.
“He is a repeat offender and it has gone beyond the point now where people can attempt to defend him by saying he is a tall lad who is using his arms for leverage.”
Fellaini has waited patiently to respond and has dismissed Carragher’s ability as a footballer and a pundit.
“If I am violent and aggressive, what was Carragher?” the Belgian midfielder told Belgian magazine Sport/Foot.
“He is the champion of blah-blah and the world champion of breaking legs. If you type his name into YouTube you’ll only see him tackling.”
Carragher had the last word though and joked on Twitter that it was just the legs of United players that he tried to break.
Just Man United legs! https://t.co/GI4LvljkwV
