Is there a secret footballers’ haircut code which we’re not privy to?
After Aaron Ramsey decided to debut his new do ahead of Euro 2016, Marouane Fellaini has opted to go just as blond and the results are just as striking.
No, Phil. Just… no https://t.co/IsytPeSZ0w

Normally the presence of the words ‘Fellaini’ and ‘striking’ in close succession are only a concern to Manchester United fans, so it’s nice to spread the love around.

We all miss Carlos Valderrama, but we’re not sure the new haircut will allow the Manchester United midfielder to absorb the Colombian’s footballing talents as well as his trademark look.
Some have suggested there’s an ulterior motive for the big Belgian’s decision.

But there’s plenty of praise alongside the questioning looks…
Are you all still pretending that Fellaini doesn't look ace?

Even if the comparisons weren’t limited to Valderrama

You know what, we kind of like it. Not that Fellaini needed to add anything to his look in order to stand out on the pitch.
If anything, given his knack for picking up yellow cards he possibly shouldn’t be doing anything else to draw attention to himself.
Perhaps he’s pre-empting the bookings he expects to receive from referees in France, and we’ve just massively underestimated him.
