Some people might say modern society is “too politically correct”.
That there’s too much control over free-speech and people are too quick to be offended. However, regardless of whether one is easily offended or not, something like this is just unprofessional and unnecessary.
Mark Lawrenson was on moaning commentary duty for TV3’s coverage of Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich, and made an utterly stupid remark about French forward Olivier Giroud.
The former Liverpool defender was heard saying: “But he’s French so he’ll have a big nose, won’t he?”
"But he's French so he'll have a big nose, won't he?" Mark Lawrenson at his finest here on TV3

It’s as though Lawrenson wants to be relieved of his duties. The commentator gives the impression that he hasn’t enjoyed a game of football in about 30 years and is now intent on ruining matches for viewers.
Honestly Mark, a five year old wouldn’t say something as childish and stupid.
@JOEdotie Did Mark Lawrenson just try to start the "Easy" chant on live tv??

Mark Lawrenson's line contribution to commentary was the correct pronunciation of Kinsella. He should have retired after that.
