Mario Gotze will be at the centre of a summer transfer war between two huge Premier League rivals

No easy decision.

Mario Gotze may very well leave Bayern Munich this summer, and he could be set to follow Pep Guardiola to England.

The German World Cup winner has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga for some time, and it appears the rumours are true.

A fee of close to £31million will be required to prise him away from the German champions, and according to the Daily Star two hated Premier League rivals are willing to enter a transfer war to secure his signature.

The newspaper is reporting that Liverpool and Manchester United will both try and compete for his attention this summer, with a deal likely to be organised in the weeks just after the Euros.

The midfielder of course worked under Jurgen Klopp when at Borussia Dortmund, while it’s understood he is a close friend of current Manchester United player Bastian Schweinsteiger who transferred from Bayern Munich last summer.

His time with Munich has been close to a disaster, as he has suffered from recurring injury issues, and Carlo Ancelotti is understood to have the club to consider bids for him as he begins a clear-out at the club.

The newspaper suggests that he is also on the radar of Real Madrid and Juventus, and his price could rise well beyond an estimated £31million if he does well for Germany at the European Championships this summer.
