Mario Gotze hints at what Jurgen Klopp has to do to get him to Liverpool

Just a few simple words

Jurgen Klopp is a persuasive man.

And Mario Gotze may have made a possible  summertime move to Liverpool a much more realistic prospect with his latest comments.

The German midfielder is currently stationed at Bayern Munich, but of course worked under Klopp when the two were paired up at Borussia Dortmund.

Liverpool are lacking genuine quality in the final third now that Philippe Coutinho is injured and with the club struggling for goals could the World Cup winner be the solution.

Well that may not seem as outlandish as it seems as the play-maker has suggested today that a simple call or text could be all that is required.

While Gotze ruled out a move in the January transfer window, he has suggested that if Klopp is interested in making him a Liverpool player, he knows exactly what to do.

“I can rule out a move to Liverpool this winter. I don’t know where the rumours about Klopp and me are coming from.

“I have not heard anything. You should ask Klopp if he wants me at Liverpool. If he wants me, he should approach me.

Carlo Ancelotti takes over the club in June as Pep Guardiola more than likely rocks up at Manchester City.

Gotze admits that a new manager may have different plans for the team, and he is excited by the challenge of working under the Italian.

“We will see how things go at the end of the season. But of course, it is important how the new coach feels about me. The coach’s plans are decisive in the end.

“So we will just have to wait and see how things pan out. I have not really given my future much thought recently because of my injury, but everything is open as things stand. It all depends on the plans of the club and the new coach.”
