Manchester United’s latest casualty brings their injury list to a staggering seventeen

Manchester United will be applying for planning permission for a new medical ward if this continues any longer.

The club are already without a number of first-team players due to long and short term injury woes, and that number has increased yet again after the club’s U21s featured on Monday night.

Louis van Gaal has been forced to play a number of younger players due to the current injury curse afflicting players at Old Trafford.

And a youngster, who had impressed in his fleeting appearances this season, will now be unavailable for a game later this week, after suffering what’s believed to be a hamstring injury in a clash with Middlesbrough last night.

The Manchester Evening News are reporting that the 21-year-old Donald Love, who has played twice this season, will not be fit enough to feature for the club ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Watford.

The full back was replaced by Sadiq El Fitouri in the 2-1 win at Victoria Park,  and could be missing for a number of weeks depending on the injury.

His injury compounds the crisis at Manchester United with Marcos Rojo substituted midway through Sunday’s 3-2 win over Arsenal.

Love’s injury brings to seventeen, the number of players who are now unavailable to Louis van Gaal at present with an update on various players’ fitness expected this afternoon.

The full injry list is now as follows: Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling,  Matteo Darmian, Phil Jones, Sam Johnstone, Donald Love, Marouane Fellaini, Axel Tuanzebe, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Marcos Rojo, Sean Goss, Will Keane.
