Marcus Rashford starts.
He’s not just in the squad – to the surprise of many – but he starts.
Manchester United have known for a week that they’d be without Zlatan Ibrahimovic for their FA Cup quarter final at Chelsea.
The Swedish striker, United’s top goalscorer this season, serves the first of a three game ban on Monday night. Adding to Jose Mourinho’s concerns ahead of the game was the news that United’s three other main striking options may also be missing for the game. Injuries to Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial were enough to keep them from making the trip to London, whereas Marcus Rashford remained in Manchester on Sunday with illness.
Despite this, Rashford does start the game, having travelled to London on Monday morning.
Marouane Fellaini, who some thought may have started for United, is on the bench.
