Manchester United have denied rumours that they held discussions with Pep Guardiola over their managerial position.
It had been reported in France that the outgoing Bayern Munich boss had met with representatives of the Premier League club in Paris.
But United have denied such talks ever took place, according to the BBC.
Guardiola has admitted he will leave the German champions at the end of this season, with Manchester City the favourites to appoint the Catalan.
Both Manchester clubs currently have managers under contract, of course, but there has been plenty of talk of both Louis van Gaal and Manuel Pellegrini moving on this summer.
Still, with United’s dismal performances this season, they seem like the ones in need of Pep talks (pun very much intended).
