Manchester United have reportedly bid £70m for Torino striker Andrea Belotti.
With Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaving Old Trafford and club captain Wayne Rooney possibly moving too, Jose Mourinho is keen to upgrade his forward line.
Miguel Delaney of the Independent says the club are interested in bringing Belotti for that reason and also want to bring in another forward.
The club is still chasing Alvaro Morata and have agreed on personal terms with the forward and are hoping to settle on a fee with Real Madrid after bidding £60m for the player.
According to Delaney, Morata is excited about the prospect of playing in the Premier League and are hopeful that a deal can be struck but a transfer of Belotti could prove more difficult.
The striker has a £84m buy-out clause in his contract and Torino are reluctant to let him leave below that price but the £70m might be enough to entice them.
Delaney also says that the Morata deal looks increasingly likely as Real Madrid look to pursue Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe.
