Manchester United are looking at potentially signing 16-year-old winger Mateo Mejia from Real Zaragoza.
The Red Devils have already brought Daniel James to Old Trafford from Swansea and they now look set to add Mejia from Zaragoza, according to The Sun‘s Alan Nixon.
United will reportedly pay an initial £600,000 for Mejia with the Spaniard to play in the youth squad should he join the club.
Meanwhile the club is still trying to bring Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester but the deal has yet to be finalised.
A £55 million fee had reportedly been agreed between the two clubs, and if true, the sum would surpass the fee paid by both Manchester City for Benjamin Mendy (£52m) and Real Madrid for Ferland Mendy (£47m).
Wan-Bissaka is currently away with the England U21s in Italy and manager Aidy Boothroyd admits that he may have had his head turned with all the speculation building around his future.
“For a young player, who all he knows is the Palace academy and the Palace first team, it’d be daft not to say that in some way he must think about it.
“What I will say is because he doesn’t say too much you don’t get to find out too much. Aaron is a very private guy.”
