Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to bring back another Manchester United old boy to Old Trafford

Manchester United wanting to fork out a lot of money for one of their former youth players? Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Yep, somewhat predictably after his accomplished performances for England during the international break, Michael Keane is being linked with a return to United, the club he left for Burnley in 2015. Keane is said to be attracting interest from a number of Premier League clubs, including Everton, Liverpool and Chelsea. Now, according to the Daily Mail, Jose Mourinho is also interested in bringing him back to Old Trafford as he seeks to strengthen his side's defensive options. The idea of United having to pay for a player that graduated from their own youth system will inevitably draw parallels with Paul Pogba's return to the club from Juventus last summer. Obviously, a move for Keane won't see United paying out any more world record transfer fees, although Burnley are said to be hoping for £25m for the defender - ten times what United received for him when he left the club. Stockport-born Keane played alongside Pogba and Jesse Lingard in the United side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2011 but was sold by Louis van Gaal. Still just 24, Keane is said to be one of the names being closely monitored by Mourinho as he seeks to bolster his defence.
