So what if that lot from across town have pretty much won the Premier League title already? Monday still turned out to be an historic day for Manchester United.
Why? Well, because for the first time in their long and proud history, the Old Trafford club have just launched a brand new digital fourth kit. Yeah, you can keep your 11-point lead and beautiful, free-flowing football, thank you very much.
To be clear, the new design, which can be seen in the video below, is exclusive to Fifa 18’s Ultimate Team – meaning real life United players won’t be turning out in it any time soon, and real life United fans won’t be rushing to the Megastore to get their hands on one in time for Christmas. How very modern.

United aren’t the only team to launch their own digital fourth kit. Fellow European giants Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich – all of which also play in adidas kits – have also got in on the action, with all of their designs available to have a look at here.
United kept up the pressure on Manchester City won away at West Brom on Sunday, restoring the three-point gap between themselves and Chelsea.
