Anyone have a couple of thousand quid to spare?
We can maybe add it to the piggy bank and save up for a seat at the Emirates.
The BBC have conducted research to determine where the cheapest and dearest match-day experiences could be had around Europe and you could probably fly to Germany and back to watch a Bundesliga game for less money than you’d spend at Arsenal.
A game in Valencia or Marseille would cost you less than £7.50 (all prices in sterling) whereas a match in Anderlecht would bring back change from what you’d spend on two chocolate bars in a Dublin newsagents.
Everything from cheapest tickets to season tickets, from pies and teas to jerseys were looked at as part of the BBC’s Price of Football survey and it turns out that Anfield is a pricier place than Old Trafford.
God knows what they’re shipping in Swansea though because they were the only club out of 230 to opt out.
Below are the prices for a Premier League ticket.
Man City and Stoke offer the cheapest season tickets whilst you could get your best bargain of a one-off game at free-scoring Leicester.
Don’t even ask about Arsenal’s prices but the least amount of money you’d spend at Chelsea is 52 quid. And that’s just getting into the place.
The rest of Europe put some of the prices to shame.
But down to the real nitty-gritty. How much is a good cuppa going to cost at these places?
Jesus, we hope they sell tea at United. That would be a bigger story.
