This week couldn’t really be going much better for Manchester United.
No team above them in the table was able to win yesterday, meaning victory over Hull tonight could lift them within three points of second-placed Tottenham.
However, United fans know better than to count their chickens, and are already working out just how they’re going to screw things up.
TODAY: Great night for United
TOMORROW: Who is Evandro Goebel

Luckily for some supporters, there is a scapegoat ready and waiting in the form of a new Paul Pogba haircut.
He’s gone for a white-blond look this time by the way, if you were interested.
While the Frenchman hasn’t had enough haircuts for a reasonable sample size – and he has had a lot of haircuts – some seem to believe a new trim will always lead to an underwhelming performance.
Perhaps it’s confirmation bias, or perhaps they’ve got a point. Either way, it doesn’t feel like good news.
Let's see if this shit haircut/shit performance correlation continues tonight #Pogba

Pogba will play very well for weeks but he will decide to spoil the form by getting a new haircut.
Lmaoo.

Pogba's got a new haircut again. Usually plays bad the game after getting it. Shiet.

Of course, there is a bigger problem than the prospect of a mere poor performance.

Far be it from us to suggest people are reading way, way too much into a man changing the colour and/or style of his hair.
No, that’s it. That’s the end of the sentence. Far be it from us to do that.
What, you thought there was more? We wouldn’t make that kind of promise.
Check back tonight to see whether Pogba has scored a hat-trick or put through his own net and got himself sent off. Remember, folks, there’s absolutely no middle ground.
