In fairness both pundits were on a hiding to nothing.
Even before either one of them had uttered a single word in criticism or praise, many Manchester United supporters watching at home had already decided that Sky Sports pundits Jamie Carragher and Niall Quinn were going to be biased in their views.
That’s because they so strongly associate the former with main rivals Liverpool and the latter with civic foes Manchester City, and so guilt by association supposedly renders them unable to give a balanced view of the Red Devils’ fortunes.
It may seem a tad unfair, especially as Carragher in particular has shown himself to be a very fair-minded and considered analyst (despite his Twitter account being a tad more partisan). He is frank for sure, but about every club he covers.
But the immediate reaction of both Jamie and Niall after United won 3-0 at Leicester was enough for the Old Trafford faithful to take glee in their apparent glumness. As the coverage switched back to the studio, both looked less than pleased.
There could have been a plethora of reasons for this, but it didn’t stop this lot taking the piss anyway…

Carragher and Quinn looking like they are swallowing vinegar while they have to praise United.
