Hang on one cotton tooting minute.
Manchester United fans must surely have thought that after witnessing their side scrape past Sheffield United in the FA Cup last night, Louis van Gaal would be desperate to add some spark to his floundering side.
Wayne Rooney notched in additional time to give the hosts a 1-0 win at Old Trafford, but it took until the 69th minute or so until fans could sarcastically applaud a shot on target.

The club have been linked with bringing in some much needed attacking focus to the side this month, but in his post match press conference, Louis van Gall poured seemed to pour cold water on any possible new players joining his squad this month
“I don’t think that we shall do business in January.”
Not happy news for Manchester United fans who were expecting a much needed injection of excitement in their lives in the coming weeks.
And then just seconds later the Dutchman did not rule out the chance of signings, but admitted that it is unlikely,
“We cannot say that because when there is a chance to make a selection better, we shall do it but I do not think we shall. That is at this moment.”
You can just guess the reaction from Manchester United fans,

If Van Gaal goes through January without at least 1 signing he's literally asking to be sacked. We need goals buy a striker.
