Manchester United close in on transfer target as Ronald Koeman blasts ‘unnacceptable’ Sadio Mané

He's not happy

“The team was doing well without Sadio today.”

Is that it for Sadio Mané and Southamton?

An angry Ronald Koeman wasted no time in hitting out at one of the Saints’ star performers after he was forced to drop Mané from his team two hours before Saturday’s game.

Southampton went down 1-0 at Norwich and the manager spoke afterwards about why he had to drop the Senegal international.

“He came late to the last meeting two hours before the game and that’s unnacceptable,” Koeman explained. “If you come late, that means you are not concentrated, that means you are not focused and we have rules in the club and the players know the rules.”

It was widely reported late in the summer that Mané was on his way to Old Trafford to link up with Louis van Gaal and Manchester United but the move never materialised.

However, with the transfer window re-opening this weekend, the player’s behaviour has raised more question marks over his future with a number of outlets reporting that United are on red alert now to sign the attacker.

Two goals in one half for the Red Devils though on the same day? They might not be so interested anymore.

And Louis van Gaal seems happy with his lot.
