Manchester United on alert as ridiculous transfer rumour could cost them £115million

Kevin McGillicuddy

It’s March 3rd, not April 1st.

But that hasn’t stopped various newspaper reporting a rumour so bizarre, you know it just be might true after various antics in Spain over the weekend.

Ronaldo threw a massive strop after Real Madrid’s La Liga loss to Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Diego Simeone’s side are a very good outfit, but after the game Ronaldo still found breath in his lungs to spout some rubbish about Madrid missing key players and how unhappy he was at the team’s performance.

“If everyone was at my level, maybe we would be leaders.”

While it is understood he apologised for the comments this week, it’s believed the team’s flatness and lack of flair was such a concern to Ronaldo, and Sergio Ramos, that both players have indicated a desire to leave the club this summer.

Sport are reporting that a TV show in Spain claims both players have spoken to Florentino Perez about demanding to leave this summer.

31-year-Ronaldo has long been linked with a move back to Manchester United, while Ramos, at 29, is a more complex issue.

He is the current Real captain, and any move away from the club would leave any manager in a most difficult position with fans.

Ramos is understood to have signed a new deal at the club recently too, but if both men were to leave, any club would be looking at a combined fee over approximately £115million.

We can’t see it ourselves, but at least it has got people talking about the maddest transfer rumours so far this month. Enjoy it while it lasts.
