Whoever runs the Greater Manchester Police’s Twitter account is clearly in the red half of the city.
The two big Manchester teams recorded Premier League wins at the weekend. However, City’s emphatic 3-0 victory over holders Chelsea was undoubtedly more impressive than United’s 1-0 win away to Aston Villa.
However, the Red Devils may have had the last laugh, courtesy of the long arm of the law.
Following a robbery at a local Sports Direct Store, the Greater Manchester Police Urmston branch tweeted details of the crime. They explained that a lot of football jerseys were stolen but couldn’t help themselves from capitolising on the situation to score a sly dig at City’s expense.
Break at Sports Direct Neary Way Large amount of Utd tops stolen, let us know if you get offered one. Unsurprisingly City tops not touched.

Wait a minute, does that mean they’re implying United fans are thieves or nobody in their right mind would want a Man City shirt? I suppose it could be taken both ways.
Well played.
