Let’s hope this doesn’t drag on and on
The last thing any of us need are daily updates from the Raheem Sterling all summer long.
The saga has gone on long enough as it is and we’re now at a position where we may be reaching endgame.
Manchester City have lodged a £35.5 million (plus add ons) bid for the winger, which must surely tempt Liverpool who must know that the majority of the fans have turned against the 20-year-old making it hard to see any real future for him at Anfield.
But Liverpool may play hardball knowing that a) Manchester City have plenty more cash, and b) they are in desperate need of homegrown players to meet the quota.
Manchester City have made an improved offer of £35.5m for Raheem Sterling. Likely to be rejected by #LFC but no response yet.

£35.5m plus add ons feels like a solid offer for Raheem Sterling. No questioning his talent but he wants to leave #LFC. Big decision.

#LFC could take money and lodge formal bid for Benteke. Not sure his £32m release clause represents value just yet. Huge potential

Sky Sport are claiming that this is a final ‘take it or leave it’ offer from City, so Liverpool have a decision to make.
Do they play hardball and try and wring more money but potentially be left with a sulking, unhappy player or take the money and reinvest it in the side?
Let’s hope they make a decision quickly.
