They have released a statement updating fans on his condition.
Manchester United have released an update on their former manager Alex Ferguson’s condition.
In a statement the club wrote: “Sir Alex no longer needs intensive care and will continue rehabilitation as an inpatient.
“His family have been overwhelmed by the level of support and good wishes but continue to request privacy as this will be vital during this next stage of recovery.”
It follows the news on Saturday that the 76-year-old had been admitted to hospital where he underwent emergency surgery following a brain haemorrhage.
