Could a return to Manchester be on the cards?
Manchester United have opened talks to sign Raheem Sterling, a breaking report has revealed.
It was reported on Sunday that the English winger could be included in a swap deal for Jadon Sancho, who is likely to depart Old Trafford this summer.
Now, a breaking report from the Telegraph has revealed that talks have been reopened over a potential move back to the North West for Sterling.
Sterling, formerly of Manchester City and Liverpool has been left out of Chelsea’s first two match-day squads with new manager Enzo Maresca making his feelings clear regarding playing time.
It is understood that the Red Devils will only progress with a swap for Sancho on their own terms.
United sporting director Dan Ashworth was in talks with Chelsea earlier on Tuesday over a package described as “sensational” that would see both English forwards move in opposite directions.
One other European club have been in contact over the potential signing of Sterling, however the club remains undisclosed.
