Ferguson is on Man United’s radar.
Manchester United will make six first-team players available for a transfer this summer, according to reports.
Harry Maguire, the club captain, is said to be among the group of players United are looking to move on.
The Red Devils are also reportedly keeping tabs on the Republic of Ireland striker Evan Ferguson.
Man United plan squad overhaul in summer transfer window.
Man United are hoping to sell Maguire, Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly, Dean Henderson, Alex Telles and Brandon Williams, according to the Manchester Evening News.
Maguire, 30, has played just 11 times in the Premier League this season after losing his place in the starting line-up.
The England defender is now Man United’s fourth or fifth-choice centre-half, behind Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof. Erik ten Hag has also used left-back Luke Shaw in central defence.
Man United paid Leicester City £85m for Maguire in 2019, and former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made him captain, but his time at Old Trafford appears to be coming to an end.
Meanwhile, Bailly is currently on loan with Marseille, Alex Telles is on loan with Sevilla and Henderson is on loan with Nottingham Forest. Man United will reportedly aim to sell all three in the summer.
Martial is currently in Ten Hag’s squad but has been a fringe player this season, making just 15 appearances.
The French forward spent the second half of last season on loan with Sevilla and could be on the move in the summer.
Ten Hag is also said to be ‘losing patience’ with Jadon Sancho, who has played just 15 times in the Premier League this season.
The United manager is said to want the club to be more ‘ruthless’ in the transfer market as he attempts to reshape the squad.
Man United interested in Harry Kane and Evan Ferguson.
Man United’s focus will reportedly be on shipping players out, but the club will also be in the market for a new centre-forward and a central midfielder.
Harry Kane is said to be the club’s number-one transfer target. The Tottenham Hotspur striker will enter the final year of his contract with the club in the summer. If Kane doesn’t sign a new deal, Spurs could lose him on a free transfer in 2024.
According to The Athletic, Man United have drawn up a shortlist of strikers, which includes Kane, Victor Osimhen, Gocalo Ramos and Evan Ferguson.
The Ireland forward, 18, is expected to sign a new contract with Brighton but is said to be highly rated at Old Trafford.
Man United are currently in fourth place, behind Newcastle United on goal difference after losing 2-0 to the Magpies on Sunday.
