A man who reportedly tried to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s house has been jailed for attempted burglary.
Gabor Roman, 25, was caught trying to break into Mourinho’s London home on July 10 as the Manchester United manager watched the Euro 2016 final on TV inside.
A maid spotted the burglar and screamed “What are you doing here?”, according to The Sun. Roman tried to flee the scene but he was blocked by a security guard who had been tracking his movements after noticing that he was looking for entry points at several other addresses on the street.
A team of eight police officers arrived at the scene and took him away in handcuffs.
Later that evening, Mourinho uploaded a photo of himself holding a Portugal scarf to Instagram in celebration of his country’s triumph over France.

Sky Sports are reporting that Roman, of no fixed address, was sentenced to four weeks in prison by Westminster magistrates on Tuesday after pleading guilty to attempted burglary.
The attempted burglary happened just hours after Mourinho had been at Wimbledon to see Andy Murray win the tournament for the second time in his career by beating Milos Raonic in straight sets.
