It’s a topic that’s divided football fans the world over for the best part of a decade.
Now though, it’s being reported that the debate has brought about the death of a man in India.
Spanish news agency EFE claim that a man killed his friend after an argument over which of the two players was better became heated.
The row is understood to have taken place between two Nigerian friends at a birthday party close to the Indian city of Mumbai.
Obinna Michael Durumchukwa, 34, is said to have thrown a glass at Nwabu Chukwuma. After the missile missed him and smashed nearby, Chukwuma responded by using a shard of broken glass to cut his friend’s throat.
Chukwuma, 22, is now being detained by police.
