Manchester United have also expressed interest in the Senegalese international but are now turning their attention towards RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upemecano, according to The Times. The 21-year-old Frenchman excelled in Leipzig's Champions League semi-final against Atletico Madrid and has piqued the interest of the footballing elite.
But Leipzig remain determined to keep him for now - he has three years remaining on his contract with the €42 million release clause not kicking in until next summer. Ergo, United will have to pay through the nose for him.
