Lynx respond to Rangers fan’s appeal for 8,000 cans of deodorant for Celtic fans

"Not sure if serious..."

‘Not sure if serious’…

With Rangers now a few months deep into their return to the Scottish top flight, another Old Firm derby looms.

Celtic hammered Rangers 5-1 in their first league meeting of the season at Celtic Park, inadvertently setting the wheels in motion for Joey Barton’s Ibrox exit in the process.

They were also victorious when the two sides met at Hampden Park in the League Cup in October, but only by a single Moussa Dembele goal on that occasion.

On New Year’s Eve, Brendan Rodgers will take his side to Ibrox, and one Rangers supporter – perhaps provoked by the hard hats gag above – is going to great lengths to try and arrange a special gift for those that will be in the away end.

In a quite blatant dig at Celtic supporters, the Rangers fan has reached out to deodorant company Lynx in an attempt to cut a deal for a large quantity of their products in time for the big game.

And he didn’t just stop at one tweet either…

Credit where it’s due – the person manning the Lynx Twitter account was good enough to reply to the second tweet, although clearly suspicious about the unusual enquiry.

We particularly enjoy the “not sure if serious” opening. Obviously (we hope) the tweet *isn’t* serious.
