Let it go, Luis. Just let it go.
It’s been nine months since the last time a professional footballer was bitten by Luis Suarez, but it appears he still can’t fully get over the incident.
The Uruguayan has said in an interview that he accepts ‘some’ of the blame for biting Giorgio Chiellini and Branislav Ivanovic, but they must also take their share of the blame.
(Suarez has seemingly forgot about the other lad he bit while playing for Ajax).
Some of the blame in the past was mine,’ the Barcelona forward said, ‘some of it must go to the defenders who provoked me’.
‘Chiellini and Ivanovic, for example, are two that wind you up again, and again, and again. They are irritating, but now what happens is that I provoke the defenders’.
‘Before I’d engage in a battle with them, now I walk away’.
Luckily, Suarez is the first footballer to ever be irritated by an opposition player, otherwise there’d be players bitten all the time.
