Given the amount of times the modern-day international footballer boards a plane, forgetting a passport is inexcusable.
But, ahead of Barcelona’s Champions League trip to London, Luis Suarez did exactly that.
According to Goal, the Uruguayan realised when he arrived at the airport on Monday morning that he didn’t have his passport, meaning he wouldn’t have been able to make the trip to England.Fortunately for him (and unfortunately for anyone connected with Arsenal) a Barca official was quickly dispatched to retrieve it from Suarez’s home.
The former Liverpool star boarded the plane with the rest of his team-mates and is expected to line up alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar at The Emirates on Tuesday evening.
