*Spoilers ahead.
In fairness, if you want to avoid spoilers, then avoid social media immediately after a show airs, but you’ve yet to see.
And on Monday night, following Game of Thrones, Twitter was not the place to be if you’d yet to see the finale of the fifth season. One of the HBO show’s most popular characters Jon Snow met a gruesome, unexpected end, and fans of the show took to social media to express their shock and anger.
One such fan was former Liverpool player Luis Garcia, who gave away the shocking twist to his 260 thousand followers.
Seriously??? John Snow?? #GameofThrones what the f… now!!!😮

However, being an all-round sound guy, Luis apologised to any of his followers for spoiling the episode for them, saying it “won’t happen again.” Which is little solace to fans who’ve to wait a year for the next episode, but still he meant well.
So sorry.Won't happen again. Sorry for the ones didn't watch the episode. I'll keep quite next time.Could this time😷 https://t.co/BDut4hryv6

In addition to calling Garcia out over the spoiler, some Twitter users couldn’t help make comparisons between the show and Liverpool’s Champions League victory in 2005.
