His debut season in the Championship just keeps getting better and better.
It’s safe to say that Daryl Horgan’s move to the Championship has been going very well so far.
It can often be the case that when Irish players make the move across the water, it can take a significant period of time to settle in or make an impact with their new clubs, just ask Horgan’s former Dundalk teammate, Richie Towell.
Horgan has been with Preston North End for just over a month now and he has already become a firm fan favourite with his energetic performances winning many plaudits.
Horgan was handed a start in Preston’s home tie against Brentford today.
Horgan was positioned out on the right wing and he made sure of all three points when he scored his side’s fourth goal after 77 minutes on the clock.
77' A fine finish from Horgan who gets in behind the Brentford defence to grab his first goal in PNE colours!#pnefc 4-1

Preston ended up conceding a late goal but the result was never without doubt as they cruised to a 4-2 victory.
The result keeps them in 11th position in the table, just seven points off the playoff positions.
As you would expect, people on both sides of the water were absolutely thrilled to see Horgan get off the mark for his new club.
