Celtic are through to the play-offs for the Champions League group stage, but they didn’t exactly make it easy on themselves.
Penalty kicks in each half from Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele saw Celtic score a 2-1 victory over Astanaon the night (3-2 agg), but for a long period of the game it was squeaky bum time for the Hoops.
It was looking a bit grim for Celtic when Craig Gordon’s poor clearance fell kindly for Agim Ibraimi, who proceeded to lob the shot-stopper from 40 yards out.
Here’s the goal captured using some sort of potato, possibly a Maris Piper.

However, the goal came just over a minute after new boy Kolo Toure entered the fray, which sparked an endless slew of the obvious joke which quickly became hackneyed on social media.

Ok, ok, you get the idea.
Fortunately for Celtic, they managed to avoid extra-time in the 11th hour of the game courtesy of a spot-kick from Moussa Dembele following Igor Shitov’s sending off.
