Liverpool’s game with Bournemouth will go ahead on Wednesday evening despite a scare that had Anfield evacuated.
The club’s stadium was cleared out on Tuesday afternoon when two men went missing during a stadium tour.
Police were called to the scene and there were even unconfirmed suggestions that the bomb squad were also brought in.
The grounds were evacuated as a precautionary measure and Liverpool’s Capital One Cup game on Wednesday was thrown into brief doubt.
But the club have confirmed that the situation has been sorted and the fixture remains unaffected. The statement read:
