The three points are all that matters, right? Wrong
From early on in the game there was a familar feeling for some Liverpool fans. Sadly, the memories that were springing to mind were from Roy Hodgson’s reign four years ago.
It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. 2010.#LFC

Despite having a LOT of midfielders on the pitch, Brendan Rodgers’ side were struggling to dominate midfield leaving some tongue-in-cheek calls for their captain to come on at the break. (JOKE SPOILER ALERT: Gerrard was in the starting XI).
We should bring Gerrard on at half time

Still, Liverpool got to the interval at 0-0 and any 45 minutes they go without conceding should really be cause for celebration.
0-0 at Turf Moor at half-time. Burnley will wonder how they're not ahead having dominated Liverpool who have been absolutely awful.

At half-time Rodgers brought on Emre Can for Kolo Toure, leaving many pretty curious about the balance in the Liverpool side

But when doubt was reaching its zenith up popped Philippe Coutinho with a sublime assist and Raheem Sterling with a smart finish.

But with Simon Mignolet in goal (he replaced the injured Brad Jones after 15 minutes, Burnley always had a chance – especially when he started dealing with backpasses as efficiently as this.
But Rodgers’ side hung on and recorded a win and a clean sheet which takes them up to ninth in the Premier League table.
Cue: relief.
All over. Thankfully. Three points is three points, however you get it. They say.
