Jerome Sinclair is a player that most Liverpool fans would have high hopes for.
He made his debut at a 16-year-old in 2012, but since then has failed to kick on and become a first team regular.
He was frozen out in the latter days of Brendan Rodgers reign due to a failure to sign a new deal at the club, and now it seems he’s gone nuclear with his career options.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the 19-year-old has hired Raheem Sterling’s agent, Aidy Ward, to try and work for a better deal for the teenager ahead of his contract expiring in June.
It’s believed Liverpool are not willing to budge on their current offer, and the striker could sign for another club in January under the Bosman ruling.
If he was to move to another English club Liverpool would be due compensation, while if he signs a pre-contract agreement with a non-English club, Liverpool may only be due £250,000.
Ward’s new assignment representing Sinclair is likely to go down badly with Liverpool representatives who were unhappy at how Ward is perceived to have forced Sterling out of the club during the summer.
Liverpool fans appear to have made up their mind on Sinclair’s future however,
Rumour has it that Ward and Sinclair are demanding a new £10,000 p/w contract.
