Let the conspiracy theories begin
You may recall us bringing you the news that a plot was afoot regarding Liverpool’s online player of the year vote, with Arsenal and Manchester United supporters leading a campaign to ensure misfiring striker Mario Balotelli emerged the winner.
Well, today saw the Italian forward’s name disappear from the drop-down menu of candidates, presumably in order to avoid the embarrassment of the goal-shy £16million signing carrying the vote.
It’s a bit cheeky but entirely understandable really, however, Balotelli’s name reappeared on the list shortly after, perhaps after his removal reset his vote tally?
