Coutinho remains the subject of avid interest from Barcelona as the La Liga giants aim to replace Neymar, who moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a staggering €222 million last week.
Barcelona have seen two bids for the Reds midfielder rejected and the Merseyside club has moved to alleviate the concerns of supporters, who fear that the spending power and allure of the Spanish side would tempt their playmaker to agree to the switch.
A statement from Fenway Sports Group on Liverpool’s official website on Friday morning simply could not have made the club’s stance any clearer.

The statement reads as follows:
“We wish to offer clarity as regards our position on a possible transfer of Philippe Coutinho.
“The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes.”
Manager Jurgen Klopp has recently reiterated that Liverpool are under no pressure to sell their best players and remained confident that Coutinho would remain a Reds player come the beginning of September.
“Liverpool is not a club that has to sell players,” Klopp said this week, via the Liverpool Echo. “That is set in stone. So what they pay in the end doesn’t matter.
“From a financial standpoint, there is no price limit to let him go. No price at which we are ready to give in.
“Our goal is to have the best possible team. So we want to keep our guys and add new ones. That is our plan.”
