If we were Simon Mignolet we would be pinning this stat up in and around Melwood for the next month or so.

The Belgian returned to Liverpool’s starting XI on Saturday in the 1-0 win over Leicester City after missing the 3-0 reversal to Watford.

Yesterday’s clean sheet means the former Sunderland keeper is the proud owner of this piece of footballing history that no-one can take from him.

Liverpool fans, despite the above fact, are still unhappy with their netminding options with Adam Bogdan as the club’s number two now, and according to reports today, Jurgen Klopp could have a new goalkeeper in the next few weeks.

French newspaper L’Equipe are reporting today that the club have been told that Marseille goalkeeper  Steve Mandanda is available for a bargain €4million.

The 30-year-old is out of contract in the summer which is why his club are desperate to make any money on him before he leaves for nothing in a few months.

He is also linked to Aston Villa, and a number of other Premier League clubs, with Liverpool likely to pass up the offer to pursue other interests such as Cologne ‘keeper Timo Horn.
