LIVERPOOL 1-2 LEEDS
Crysencio Summerville proved the winner for Leeds United, at Anfield, after scoring a late goal to give his side a much, much needed victory. The Leeds player ratings have two men wrestling for top honours.
Liverpool got off to the worst possible start when Joe Gomez played a no-look pass across the box, stranding his goalkeeper, Alisson, and giving Rodrigo a fourth minute tap-in.

The Reds got back in the game when Andrew Robertson lofted a cross that Mo Salah headed home, while Darwin Nunez was denied by Illan Meslier at the edge of the box. It would not be the first time the Leeds No.1 would frustrate the Uruguayan.
After the break, the best chance fell to Nunez after Salah nicked the ball off Leeds captain Liam Cooper. He squared to Nunez but Meslier rushed off his line to block his shock.

Minutes later, the French goalkeeper was at full stretch to tip over a Nunez effort from the edge of the box. Roberto Firmino was next to try his luck but was also repelled by a fine save.
Leeds had a late chance to snatch the points, but Patrick Bamford took a wretched touch, inside the box, and ran himself into a dead-end before eventually forcing a corner kick.
Meslier was to the fore, in the final minutes, as he denied Firmino again. Leeds then broke forward and a Gnoto ball into the box was touched on by Bamford and Crysencio Summerville did the rest, getting through Gomez and Virgil van Dijk to fire home.
