It is a beautiful morning if you are a Liverpool fan.
Despite competition from the the two Manchester heavyweights, Brendan Rodgers was able to secure the signing of Brazilian international Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim.
Firmino can operate as both a deep-lying central midfielder and an advanced playmaker with an eye for goal – he has scored 23 league goals across the last two seasons.
The BBC is reporting that Firmino, who is currently in action with Brazil at the Copa America, cost Liverpool €40 million.

So Firmino joins James Milner and Danny Ings as new Liverpool additions while reports say that Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini will soon leave Anfield. That would represent a decent clear-out by Rodgers with plenty of time left in the summer to do other business.
The man himself approved of the signing on Twitter earlier…
