Liverpool/Manchester United, Manchester United/Liverpool.
It’s one of football’s greatest rivalries. Two northern powerhouse clubs, each from proud industrial, working class cities separated by little more than 30 miles in distance.
Each have been the overwhelmingly dominant force in English football at one time or another and fans of each believe it is their side which *should* be winning the title each and every season.
Of course ever since the Premier League was set up in 1992, it’s been going United’s way rather more than it has for Liverpool.
The Reds’ glory era was the late 1960s, through to the 1970s and 1980s. But since ’92, Liverpool have not got a single league title to point to.
In that time, Manchester United have won it a staggering 13 times.
But with Jurgen Klopp now at the helm and after a bright start to the season that has seen them claim three wins from five games, there is optimism around Anfield that they can challenge at the top once again.
This was only furthered by their impressive 2-1 victory at Chelsea on Friday night.
But one Manchester United fan Twitter account was not impressed.

But the Reds media team clearly noticed that tweet and to the delight of Reds fans everywhere, replied to it from the club’s official account after United’s 3-1 defeat to Watford, with a simple one-word message:

Was it a mistake? Did the person who replied intend to send it from a personal account but got mixed up? Seeing as it is still live, we’re guessing not.

Perhaps the author of the original tweet should have waited a day or two before posting – at least until after their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Watford on Sunday afternoon…
