Sunday morning coming down for Liverpool fans it seems judging by comments coming out of Brazil today.
The club looked to have secured a major bargain on Saturday afternoon with seeming confirmation that former AC Milan starlet Pato was on his way to Anfield in January.
Various reports from South America seemed to indicate that a deal was very much done for the former Golden Boy winner who’s on loan at Sau Paulo from Cornithians.
#Liverpool have agreed to sign Alexandre Pato in January, according to Corinthians president Roberto de Andrade. #LFC. Thoughts?

But it seems that Liverpool fans desires and hopes of seeing the Brazilian at Anfield are a long way from being fulfilled at least according to the Corinthians president.
Roberto de Andrade has flat out denied any deal for the player has taken place, and has told Globoesporte that there has been no contact from Liverpool for the player, while on TV later ONSaturday evening he explained that there was very little to any of the speculation.
“Corinthians have received nothing. Nothing concrete has arrived.”
